Boneless was a slug-like cryptid reportedly sighted late one September night during the 1950s. Railwayman John Davies was riding his motorbike back home to his cottage in Derbyshire’s Longdendale Valley when he saw what appeared to be "Boneless", as the entity was known locally, crossing the road not far ahead.
Appearance[]
The creature was described as a huge black slug sliding across the road and up the moor, making a scraping noise as it did so. Up closer, it looked somewhat like a massive whale and even possessed an eye-like structure on its side. The creature's size is unknown.
Possible Explanations[]
There are several explanations as to what the creature could be. Theories include:
- An undiscovered species (a Cryptid)
- Extraterrestrial
- An undiscovered giant slug
- A demonic entity.
Trivia[]
- Another observer was a friend of Davies, who had seen it sliding across the valley below Ogden Clough.
