The Sugar Bundle was a blob-like cryptid reportedly sighted late in the evening of 1915 near Jicotea, Las Villas, in Cuba. The episode involved two unnamed men who were on patrol near the perimeter of a sugarcane field. The men were on horseback and approaching a bend in the trail when suddenly their horses froze and began “snorting as if in a panic.” (americanmonster.com)
Appearance[]
The blob-like cryptid was described as a small white sack-like "bundle" on the ground. When shot with a pistol, the creature seemed to grow larger with each bullet, as if assimilating them into its body. Within moments the still advancing bundle had grown until it loomed almost as tall as the horses themselves.
Possible Explanations[]
There are several explanations as to what the creature could be. Theories include:
- An undiscovered species (a Cryptid)
- Extraterrestrial
Trivia[]
- The next morning, the horses they had left behind with the creature were found wandering the pasture, completely unharmed.
